About myself

I'm a 3rd year grad student at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri where I'm currently working toward my Ph.D. in physics working with Dr. Jim Buckley and Dr. Henric Krawczynski. I spent my undergrad years at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN where I received a B.A. in Physics.

Research and Projects

  • Projects:

    • Simulation of electron populations and associated radiation inside astrophysical shocks, using the "box model" of Drury et. al.
    • Measurement of PMT quantum efficiencies for VERITAS.
  • Past Research

    • Senior Project, DePauw University, spring 2007: Built a ground-based atmospheric muon detector and ran Monte Carlo simulations to improve its performance.
    • Physics REU at North Carolina State University, summer 2006: 2-dimensional simulations of supernova remnant shockwave expanding into ambient media.
    • SRF Summer Research, DePauw, 2004: Analyze the water table level of the local aquifer, along with its physical, chemical, and isotopic properties. Results were presented at poster session for 2005 GSA annual meeting. (Abstract)
